Madam Basileus La'Sheka Shine is a proud native of New Iberia, Louisiana, who now calls Bossier City home. Mrs. Shine graduated from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Grambling State University with a Master of Social Work. Currently, La'Sheka is a student at Capella University, pursuing a Doctorate of Social Work.

 

She has been a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. since 2002. As a certified Parliamentarian, she also serves at the National Parliamentarian for Iota Sweethearts, Inc. and ONE Iota Foundation Board member. She is a member of several organizations, including the Association of Black Social Workers Shreveport chapter, Black Girls in Social Work, the Electronic chapter of the National Association of Parliamentarians, National Association of University Women Shreveport Branch, member of Omega Theta Rho Sorority Inc, and PACE of Shreveport. Over the years, she has served as Sergeant at Arms, Parliamentarian, Historian, President, and Vice-President in her organizations. 

 

Mrs. Shine the owner of LDS Consulting and Therapist Development, LLC. and Heart of Shield, LLC apparel. She currently works for the Department of Veteran Affairs where she takes pride in providing care to our nations veterans. La'Sheka is a devoted wife and mother of three. She strives to be an exceptional role model for her children while balancing her career and family life.
